90: Reads like yesterday..

I actually got up today for breakfast and enjoyed a meal with my parents. I couldn’t head out again today, which meant I missed out on going Snuba-ing here in Grand Cayman.. From what I could gather it’s like scuba diving but instead of having a tank on your back you are connected to the surface by a big air supply tube.. No bends issues because the divers don’t go down far enough so sounds like you get a scuba experience without the stress of nitrogen poisoning… Sounded good… I missed out again!

Well as the title indicates, my day read like the one before.. got up, went back to bed (doped up still). Got myself up again for lunch and did some blogging. Back to bed in the afternoon.  My day might have been pretty ordinary but M&D had a great day snuba-ing and D also went on a bus trip around the island to try and find where we stayed last time we were here… Apparently, it’s not the same (is anywhere the same when you go back after 10+ yrs?)—the design of the hotel is different and it isn’t quite as nice as it once was… I guess old Grand Cayman has also been hit hard by the GFC!

I did get myself downstairs for dinner with M&D and watched another comedy show… All in all, what would have been a great day at Grand Cayman was another big fat flop for me! The only saving grace on the whole day was the fact that Carnival refunded my two shore activities; snuba and the monkey park walk, so no need for me to try and get money out of my travel insurance!
