One of the poorer flight experiences

Respectable start time with us leaving home @ 9am. Thanks for the taxi ride Kel! Straight through check in, thanks to me flying business + red carpet through immigration. Shopping done + we settled in to the Qantas lounge for what we thought would be a comfortable hour + half…. Enough time to consume a coffee,  some brekky + use the lounge to its full extent. That was the plan.

Boarding time came + went…. as did lunch…. + afternoon tea…. Finally we boarded @ 3pm + took to the sky 4 hrs late. Mechanical problems apparently!
Needless to say although l was sick of sitting in the lounge~ FAR superior to a 4hr wait sitting @ Maccas or the gate.

Flight was every thing I expect from business. Quiet, comfortable + service on tap. Today reminded me why I now choose to always do long haul up the front. Arrived in J’Burg fresh, comfortable + with ZERO sore back! Welcome to Africa Weary!

For those wondering the folks slummed it in Premium Economy + apparently it wasn’t too bad. They’re thinking of upgrading on the way back so I guess it isn’t super flash!

Time is after midnight local time + Mid morning Au so guess its time to pop a tablet + get some more shut eye. Early flight to Port Elizabeth tomorrow
